Liquid seed treatment

Starter on
every seed.
No tank required.

Plenty of growers have no in-furrow setup and no intention of buying one. NutriCharge LST puts phosphorus protection on the seed instead — and over the first four weeks, replicated studies put it level with starter fertilizer applied in the furrow.

Who this is for

The starter response,
without the starter rig.

A liquid starter system is a tank, a pump, plumbing, a hose to every row and a pass you have to plan around. For a lot of operations that is thousands of dollars and a maintenance job to get a response they can already see is real.

So the choice has usually been to buy the infrastructure or go without. LST is the third answer: the same charge control chemistry, applied to the seed before it ever reaches the planter.

On the seed

Where the root starts

Every seed carries its own phosphorus protection, so the supply is in contact with the root the moment it emerges rather than a band away.

No pass

Nothing added to planting

It goes on with the seed treatment you already apply. No tank to fill, no lines to prime, nothing to clean out at the end of the day.

Same chemistry

Not a different product

The charge control that protects phosphate in the furrow is the charge control on the seed. Only the delivery changes.

Replicated studies

Level with in-furrow starter
for the first 28 days.

That is the claim worth testing, because it is the one a grower without a starter rig actually cares about: does protection on the seed do as much as the furrow would have? Over the first four weeks, replicated work says it does.

01

It frees what is there

The chemistry releases phosphorus already held in the soil around the seed, rather than relying only on what you applied.

02

It keeps it free

Charge control stops what has been released from being locked straight back up by the calcium, iron and aluminum around it.

03

Into a bigger root

Better early root development is what the treated stands show, and a bigger root reaches more of the soil the phosphorus is in.

If you do have in-furrow, don't use this. Treat your liquid starter with standard NutriCharge instead — in-furrow placement with treated fertilizer beats seed-applied, and we would rather tell you that than sell you the wrong one. LST exists for the growers who cannot do that.

Common questions

Asked and answered.

Will it go on with my current seed treatment?
Almost always. It is compatible with most seed treatments on the market. Run a jar test before you commit a batch — five minutes now beats a hopper of gummed-up seed later. If you are unsure what to test against, your AgroTech representative will tell you.
In-furrow NutriCharge or LST — which is better?
In-furrow, if you can. If you have the capability, treating your liquid starter is the stronger option and that is what we would recommend. LST is for the operations where that is not on the table, and it is a genuine answer rather than a consolation prize.
Which crops?
Small grains have a published rate: 3–4 oz per hundredweight for wheat, barley, oats and similar. It is used on other crops too, but the rates are set per crop rather than from one table, so ask before you plan around a number.
How do I apply it?
To the seed, before planting, through whatever treater you already use. The only thing that matters is thorough coverage — a seed that did not get coated did not get treated.
How does it come?
2 × 2.5 gallon cartons.
Is 28 days long enough?
It covers the window this product is for. The first four weeks are when a seedling's root is small, the soil is cold and phosphorus is least available — which is exactly why starter fertilizer exists. For phosphorus later in the season, that is what TriPhase at sidedress is for.

Starter benefits,
on every seed you plant.

Tell us your crop, your seed treater and what you are already putting on, and we will tell you the rate — or tell you to use something else.
